On Oct. 11, 2025, at approximately 4:45 a.m., a commercial breaking and entering occurred in the 2900 block of Cedar Lane in Colonial Heights. The suspect shattered a window before entering the location and stealing several electronic items valued at over $2,400. Colonial Heights Police have identified the suspect involved as Ricardo Edward Thompson Jr. He is described as a Black male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall with tattoos on his face, neck and both arms.
