On June 12, 2025, a fraud occurred at the Walmart at 12000 Iron Bridge Plaza in Chesterfield County. First, two Black male suspects visited the Petersburg Walmart, where they used fraudulent coupons to purchase multiple cases of Red Bull at about $2 each, which is $20 less than the actual price per case. The suspects then went immediately to the Chester store and returned the items for the actual price, obtaining approximately $220 under false pretenses. Further investigation has revealed that these suspects have perpetuated this fraud at numerous Central Virginia stores resulting in a total loss of about $12,000.
