On June 6, 2022, at approximately 9:36 p.m., a Black male suspect driving a dark-colored Honda Accord chased the victim in his car through the Food Lion parking lot at 15702 Jefferson Davis Highway in Chesterfield County. The suspect eventually stopped his car and approached the victim's car on foot while the victim had parked on the opposite side of the parking lot. As the suspect approached the victim, the victim began driving away and the suspect fired one round from a handgun.
