On Oct. 31, 2022, at 3:30 a.m., a fatal shooting occurred in the 14000 block of North Carriage Lane in Chesterfield County. The victim was leaving his residence when he saw an unknown suspect going through his girlfriend's unlocked vehicle. The victim confronted the suspect and was shot. The suspect then fled the area on foot. Responding officers attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
